The tournament has grown in stature over the years attracting entries and followers from all over Ireland and Britain with more teams anticipated this year.

The Roscommon men led 1-2 to 0-3 at the half time break - Tourlestrane had gone into an early two point lead thanks to scores from Cathal Henry and Adrian McIntyre but Niall Cartys goal 10 minutes in edged Pearses in front of the first time on the day - Carey kicked two points before the break with Liam Gaughan replying for the Sligo outfit to leave two between the teams at the break.

Fixtures

OMalley could have had a goal 10 minutes in after he was brilliantly picked out by Diarmuid OConnor but McDonald saved well and OMalley picked the ball off the deck before firing home the rebound. Ballintubber led 0-6 to 0-5 at the break with Ciaran Gavin in fine scoring form kicking four points from play and Stephen OMalley chipping in with two points from frees.

Also on the day there will be a ladies 7 a-side tournament with an open invitation to all international clubs. The event is played to a finish on the Saturday with the winning team receiving ONeill vouchers and the Francie ODonnell cup. All mens and ladies teams will battle it out in a series of group matches with the strongest teams contesting for the semi-finals and finals followed by presentations and live music.
